Urban Agriculture Needs YOU!

Local Food is Best! And you can grow it! Start your own business and earn from growing!

Starting a business can be daunting, especially when you may not have the expertise or start-up costs to get started. Growing High Point hopes to eliminate those difficulties, by providing the tools and mentorship you need to get started.

Work with current urban farm leaders to gain expertise in the world of gardening and selling your produce. Attend beekeeping classes and fieldwork to learn how to care for bees and make money selling honey.

Beekeeping Apprenticeship training will start Wednesday 6:30 pm, Feb 2, 2022 on at 710 Washington Street. If you attend training meetings and workshops, participate with enthusiasm, and help care for the bees on a fair and rotating schedule, you will earn a share in any honey harvested. This is a weekly commitment.

Urban Farming Apprenticeships will begin March 1 and continue until fall. You will be paired with an existing farmer to learn how to grow in the city. After a season apprenticeship, you may qualify for your own urban farm with the infrastructure and tools you need to become an independent farmer!
